i love mr ankle and mr foot.
i happily went running today (my track shoes had a bit of dust on them) thinking that after so many months of rest my ankle and feet would be (almost) back to normal.
darn. wishful thinking.
7 minutes into the run my entire right foot went NUMB. completely. i was struggling to keep it in place with each step so that i won't sprain my ankle because of lack of control of it. well i survived the entire run with the numb foot. the muscle on the arch under the left foot hurt too, and formed a blister 12 minutes into the run. shucks.
looks like i'll be having to survive FOC on pure adrenaline and excitement argh
but the plus point is, my stamina is ok. (phew not all is lost) i finished the entire course (i'm not too sure how far though) in 21 minutes when i used to take 25, and without getting breathless at all. it was a comfortable run (cardio wise), and i think i could have pushed myself a little more. ok make that a lot more, since i'm used to my feet acting up anyway. ok i was lazy. fine.
i'm just praying that my ankles don't ache soon )): please ankles i'm begging you. i've kept you sprain free for half a year already (right? the last time was when i sprained going down the stairs with the bottle of isopropyl alcohol in my hand for chiobu, whenever that was), please please please be good. i promise to be nice to mr ankle and mr foot and give you a foot massage later, and ice therapy too for mr ankle.
and here i am, typing this post with a the very last square of my homemade cheesecake in my hands. there goes all the hard work hahaha.
