ok after all that fretting, all that worrying, all those mental rehearsals...
we did alright ((: pretty well too, actually.
the smoke from the sides sort of stunned me >.<
sigh i will miss dancing w hccd. i suppose this will rly be my last item, i cnt stand the constant stress about not practicing enough w them, nor having enough time to practice myself. i used to go every break (or alternate ones) to the studio to self prac while in hc, but here i cannot. and i was lucky this year, somehow i managed to go for every single practice. what if i cannot do the same the next time?
i liked the costume, so pretty. ok that was bimbo. but it really was pretty! thanks to US ((: haha both the top and the bottoms were like ours can.
ok now about the actual performance. it was disgusting.
no, not the dance. the FLOOR. the FRIGGING FLOOR.
it rained. and the "backstage" was a tent rigged behind the stage, the floor was the hc track. we had to take off our slippers and put on dance shoes there, and walked the WET track onto the grass, and onto the stage.
cos it rained terribly before the thing.
then, as if it wasn't the least of our worries. the stage was SOAKING WET. and it's worse, cos it's CARPETED, it was squishy. if it were just our feet it'll be fine, but the dance had plenty of kneeling. liying's group was worse, they had ROLLING actions muahahaha. you could feel the water squish though your pants and the jazz pants inside (we wore double layer) damn gross. the final look created was a bunch of football players after a game, cos there were grass stains on the stage too (thanks to the many people who trampled it playing instruments, singing etc before us) DISGUSTING. it's like the most disgusting stage experience i ever had.
but disregarding all these, it was fun. and not bad i would say ((: hernhern sweated buckets as usual. i thought i was bad, until i caught sight of her muahahaha.
万人宴。only hwa chong would create such a strong sense of belonging such than 10 000 alumni would turn up for it's 90th anniversary celebrations despite the rain.
