CHINGAY '09 IS OVER )))):

yes i grumbled about the incessant practices.
yes i grumbled about wasting time at practices cos the stage dancers are ignored.
i wanted to skip practices (but i never did ok, unless i really had something else on)
i slacked during practices when we were being ignored.
i hated the hot pink lycra costume and the stupid breastplate and the horrible headgear.

but when it boils down to it, i really really enjoyed chingay

all the lovely people, the fan dancers, the stage dancers, the FABULOUS COMMITTEE, the trainers.

the laughter, the fun. the trainings, the horsey sounds that jan makes, the funny yasmin poses and her lunges, PRISSY and her funniness. rosemary, the nicest person that ever existed. mervin who lets me hijack his camera for the whole day. the EXTREMELY high shueh yi. and all the other people who went through chingay with me (: the funny people who entertain me, the nice people who help me, the people who generally make life better for me (:

the ever ready committee who caters to every single whim and fancy we may have, and who never get pissed off. who always help us get anything we want done, who tries to get everything done for us when we request for anything. all the wonderful food (like omg we used to eat 2 bucks veg rice for performances), wonderful welfare (chingay tickets, taxi/meg's husband as chauffeur, tickets to various concerts, points for hall) etc etc.

I LOVE YOU ALL TO BITS.

not that people will actually see this. (side note, i'm REALLY glad to have met prissy haha)

will post about the parades itself when i have more time. i should REALLY get to sleep haha
