je suis trés heureux.
haha the above says i am very happy. cos... my mp3 player is being replaced! (: kudos to warranties man.
but that said, creative's internal procedures SUCK. like SHIT. we uncovered SO MANY FAULTS while we were there.
how can any person who goes down to ask for her mp3 player to be fixed be told it was a corrupted file that caused it every time she went down (about 3/4 times) and yet now they realise it's a motherboard problem? resulted in the expiry of the warranty before the problem was discovered. HOW THE FREAKING FAIR IS THAT???
also, shouldn't every transaction between the customer and the company be recorded? how can there be a complete failure to log in a person's repeated visits to the company requesting to fix her player?
then, there is the fact that all the previous staff who tended to the faulty mp3 player didn't bother to issue a report to the customer, and no one even KNEW they were supposed to get one. hence, no proof. shouldn't they post guides on what the customer should do/get at the end of the transaction?
the above didn't happen to me la, but the two of us went down together, i got lucky, she didn't. and stupidly, even though i registered my mp3 player, the guy told us the registering was for the marketing department, and the only date they had was e shipping date hence he used that to count the warranty of one year. which effectively deprives me of 3 months of warranty. thanks so much. WHERE IS THE COORDINATION BETWEEN DEPARTMENTS?? i really have to say i admire the system ntuc income uses now. any dept can see any customer touch points and transactions handled by different people in different departments. CREATIVE, COME ON, LEARN FROM THEM.
there's a reason creative is becoming less and less popular. man, they're closest competitor is APPLE. eh, apple is KNOWN for stellar service and their products inspire people to be fervent admirers and loyal users. shouldn't creative care more for the competition?
ahh well. all i know is, creative has likely lost me as a customer, as well as my friend. i so happily bought my mp3 from them cos i wanted to support a singaporean company, and i didn't know the products were THAT bad. but now i know. we all know.
buck up, creative, before you really die.
