after having gotten used to the bone-chilling weather in china, singapore feels like an OVEN. i sweat just walking down the stairs at my house oh the horror.

the buffet breakfasts we had at every hotel makes the 2 slices of white bread breakfast so plain

but it's good too. i no longer have skin that looks like a 50 year old's -.- all dry and wrinkly and chapped. my fingers are recovering from frostbite. yes, i got frostbite cos i stubbornly refused mittens and gloves for most of the trip. stupid. i can breathe comfortably without feeling like the air hurts my lungs cos 1. it's full of cigarette smoke 2. it's so cold it's painful 3. it just feels wrong -.-

most importantly, i'm glad to be home. (:

we called ourselve the 搬家公司 cos we changed hotels EVERYDAY except for the last two nights. which i hated cos so much effort is spent on packing and unpacking -.- and the hotels varied in quality, each time we got a nice hotel we were always reluctant to leave. 

to sum up the trip:

very fun, very cold and very tiring.

黄山 was the ultimate. i climbed more stairs in that one and a half days there than i did in my WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE. and i'm proud to say my grandma scaled it all too! she walked some, she rested some, and she walked on again. my ah ma is damn zai. ((: but all the climbing was worth it, i saw some of the most awesome sights in my whole entire life. and goodness knows what i was thinking, but i was willing to climb to the most precarious ledges and precipices to take a look at the view or pose for pictures -.- when in real life i'm terrified of heights. hello, the freaking cloud were WAYYYYY below us can. and ahh i shall upload photos when i feel like it, but i loved the sunrise. waking up at 5 was crazy, but the sunrise was just worth it, and the long climb to the best viewing spot. and in the evening, the view ourside my room was breathtaking. it was two mountains and a valley and in between was all the colours of the rainbow ranged on the horizon. preettyyyyy. and the cable car ride up and down was just scary omg.

my mum was happy to go huangshan/anhui cos that's where her roots are -.- not that she's ever been there before.

hangzhou was ok, very historical, 爱情之都，历史之都，休闲之都 and one more i can't remember haha. the show at the end was ok, but had bad sound system and poor dancing lol.

千岛湖 was ok, just sat on a boat and sailed it, and climbed up and down the islands a bit. these islands  are actually mountains, and all that's left are the peaks -.- the whole entire place was flooded off to build a water-powered generator. and thousands of villages and their inhabitants voluntarily relocated to allow the country to do such a might project leh. wei da man seriously. 

yi wu. ok la, it's was mostly meant for shopping. but it's not very good for shopping as they don't do retail, their customers are usually shop owners who come in to get stock. so if we got like only one or two pieces it's very expensive -.- but expensive is relative, what goes for 45 dollars here went for 10 dollars there muahaha. but i still didn't get anything there -.-

横填 was really annoying cos we had VERY little time. we only visited the place where they have this huge qing dynasty palace replica which was used for movies. apparently movies the the mummy 3, hero etc were all filmed there. really very lifelike (: but we had so little time we couldn't admire them much.

then we went back to shanghai. shopping! and nice xiao long baos. there's rafflescity there -.- apparently it was an investment by the singapore rafflescity. 

i bought a few things, scarf/wallet/food/i can't remember, and found out the macdonalds there has a better range of products then singapore. the curry nuggets are damn nice, and the peach pie. and both are like dirt cheap can. argh. 2 peach pies for 7 yen, which is like 1 plus buck for 2.

then we came home. i believe we spent more time travelling from place to place than actually playing leh, most trips were like 3 to 5 hours -.- damn annoying. but ok la, overall it was still very enjoyable. i love the people who went on the same trip, there was another family of 4 (the parents and 2 girls), my family of 7 (my family of four and grandma and my aunt and uncle), and 4 friends (2 couples actually) and a mother daughter pair. quite a small group, so we all got quite bonded (: quite sad that we're all seperated already, but then again, i'll jst appreciate what we had together. it was fun while it lasted (:

back to normal life now, worried about STARS planner. it's time to think of it again. PEOPLE, WHAT MODS ARE YOU ALL TAKING? i'm in 202 T4, 204 T6 and 208 T8. urgh, i'm even contemplating taking 206, the horror of horrors, since it's a sooner or later thing.
