back from a three day two night chalet with my family in changi, which also resulted in me missing the last dance practice in 2 weeks argh.
we were in chalet k... which is just in front of old changi hospital. which, thankfully, i only found out this morning when we went to explore it. it was just up one flight of steps from our chalet. no wonder we were able to book it despite it being so late already -.- it's actually ok in the daytime, but it was freaky enough such that i only walked through the hallways and refused to go into the individual rooms. it was heavily graffitied, though, i have to say that the perpretrators have got no creativity and talent at all. come on, i could do better than that -.- i can completely imagine the kind of place it becomes at night. all small rooms, dark and scary. eeee. luckily i never found out till we were about to leave. my uncle says that last night he heard a lot of loud voices coming from there and was unable to sleep because of it, but my dad and me both slept very soundly -.- he's got a third ear.
anyway, the chalet was very world war II era -.- the toilets were dark, dingy and the walls were grimy. the rooms were decent i guess, but i had to hesitate before putting my laptop into the drawers cos they had weird, yellowish stains. the grounds are infested with fire ants, we shared our barbeque with them. we spent a lot of time on the porch playing/sitting/talking/stoning though, it was more pleasant outside then inside. we took a long long walk together as a huge family along the changi boardwalk, then all the way down to the beach and changi village -.- and then back up. ah ma, as usual, spent plenty of time gambling muahaha.
but sadly, during that night of the boardwalk i was feeling strangely emo, so i trailed at the back and didn't talk much to anyone. sigh what a waste of good family bonding time.
then we also went wild wild wet yesterday morning. we started off together, then it became a gender separation where the guys went to play their stuff and we played ours, and then it became an age gap thing where the cousins were playing together and the adults together -.- quite entertaining.
OH AND THERE'S A WAREHOUSE SALE AT THE D'MARQUEE till 26th!!! everything there is DAMN cheap. elle dresses at EIGHT BUCKS. and ritter sport choc at 4 for 11 bucks. i bought 2 tops, 2 pairs of earrings, the ritter sport (obviously) and 1 large and 2 small pouches. damn cheap la!!!!
okok back to the chalet. i guess it bothers me that the four oldest guy cousins in the family are bonding TOO well, such that they refuse to join our boardwalks/general activities and instead spend it gambling in one of the rooms. come on, this is a FAMILY chalet.
generally, it was enjoyable. and it was a chance to really slack. the only chores i did was cutting and washing (and i managed to cut off a small slice of my thumb while at it -.-). the rest of the time we were lazing about! whooohooo.
it's dance camp tomorrow. i'm scared cos i've never planned a camp before, i'm damn scared i left out details. i guess everyone's been very involved in planning it, but i'm still afraid we left out details. i have to go do some positive visualisation man -.- gosh COM 201 rears its head again.
should i get snacks for the dancers for after chingay??
sidenote: I AM HAPPY COS I FINALLY GOT FOOT THONGS! (:
