yea yea i keep posting everyday -.-
somehow i just wanna keep writing crap. even if no one's reading. JUSSSST WRITE IT MAN! -.-
watched artistic gym qualifiers today. saw on ness' blog about how the training of gymnasts start at like age 3. then remembered what bojia said about the selection thingy at like arnd that age too. and i'm touched again. i'm a firm believer of tough training too, i'd like to have been able to go through such immensely tough training, just because i want to be the best that i can be in anything i do.
whenever i describe how we used to train in rhythmic gymnastics, people give me the jaw drop reactions. even dancers cannot fanthom how we used to stretch to attain those over-splits. i think my maximum flexibility at sec 3 (before i sustained the injury that was to become the bane of my life at the competitions) was about almost a 270 degree split. oooh those were the days. i remember laoshi used to sit on us to force us down, until we became disciplined enough to do it for ourselves. but she still continued sitting to force us on to more flexibility anyway. i miss zhang laoshi :(
and then for indiv event we had 4 routines. ball hopes clubs ribbon. and we used to do THREE sets of all four routines in each training session. for team event, we used to pose in one position for like five minutes to be kou-ed and adjusted to EXACTLY the same angle/look, and pose somemore to make ourselves remember how it feels. it was tough, but all well worth it.
but... we're not even scratching the surface of what those international standard gymnasts go through. they train everday, with immensely tough practices. their diet is damn strict. they probably have no social lives. they sacrifice everything, just for the chance to win, at some point in time, some major competition.
watching the olympics today, made me wonder: just what did they (especially team china) go through to achieve those perfect double/triple twists on the vault, the pirouettes on the uneven bars, the kong fans on the beam, and the PERFECT jumps/turns/flips with perfect landings for floor. i was in awe today, the standard is immensely high. of course, they were screw ups, they are unavoidable, but most of the time, everything executed was close to perfection. OMG.
i'm watching out for a gym, r gym, diving, synchro swimming for the olympics. i can't wait! but it makes me feel sad (as whenever i meet a stronger dancer/gymnast etc) that i'll never reach that standard. in singapore, i see someone stronger, i'll just think: ok i'll work hard and become better than her. but watching the olympics, i know it'll never happen. i'll be lucky to get one-fifth of their ability. but oh heck. i still wanna watch them anyway.
OH YEA! TAO LI OF SINGAPORE GOT A CLEAR SHOT TO THE FINALS OF SWIMMING! omg i couldn't believe it when i saw the person on that lane which i pegged to taoli touch the wall third. and then it was verified it really was her!!! omg omg. damn proud of her! :) WELL DONE TAO LI!
i wanna go swimming tomorrow but daddy says cannot. cos it's seventh month :( rawr.
去买蛋糕时,心情不是特别的好。所有的事都得服他,而我生日那天也因为他而不开心。但他生日时,一切都非常完美。他心情不好,每个人都要顺着他,但我心情不好, 会因为烦到他而被骂。有点不爽。
