i absolutely ADORE anna bessonova.
her hoop event had me mesmerised. completely. she's not just a gymnast, she's a performer. overall third placing, as she was in the athens games. she was and is gorgeous, completely gorgeous. beautiful routine, beautiful performer, beautiful technique, beautiful looks, beautiful leotards = visual feast.

great technicality, great control, first overall placing. her scores are fantastic man. 18.850, 18.850,18.950 and 18.850. omg. and her hoop event leotard was GORGEOUS i tell you, GORGEOUS.

ooh perfect dao-ness. but i don't like where her blusher was placed on her face -.- but she's damn good too. but surprise surprise, she's not in the medal placings. i expected her to be in 2nd place, but 2nd was inna zhukova.
i have to say this: aliya yussupova's leotards are hideous, except for her ribbon event. what was she thinking? but yea she's always had eccentric tastes. extremely flex though.
natalie godunko has got wonderful energy, but ugly shoulders.
almudena cid. her swan song. after her last ribbon routine (which was fantastic, the music and choreography were so good, and so perfect for a swan song), she drew a heart shape on the floor, and kissed the middle of the heart. the love for rhythmic gymnastics, the love for performance, the love for the competition. thank you, almudena cid.
